Snapping hip syndrome is characterised as a snapping or a clicking experienced within in the hip joint. It may or may not produce an audible sound and can also lead to feelings of weakness or instability within the hip.
The key to managing gluteal tendinopathy is to reduce load on the tendon while improving functional movement of the hip and pelvis. In addition, a focus on enhancing the rebuilding of the injured tendon collagen (along wiht other weakened or damaged tissues) needs to happen.
